I had such a fun time at this engagement session. This engagement session was different than any other session I have ever done. The couple had this idea to have a paint war... yes a paint war. Ha it was so awesome. We chose to go out to Lake mead to do this, I picked this location because it's where my son and I go. I knew it would be a great location with a pretty view from all of the sunsets we have seen out there. For this session though we were doing it at sunrise. We had to wake up at 3:30 am to drive out to lake mead, then walk down to the location. We walked through the desert in the dark, hoping we could find our way and hoping no snakes come out to get us. Waking up at 3:30 was a little difficult, since i stayed up till like 1 am but Sam and David brought donuts, and donuts make life better all the time ha.
Here is our first shots from the day. The sun was just waking up, as were we and it was truly a beautiful sunrise. The water was perfect, the weather was good and we had a great time.
This was a new experience for me, I stuck mainly to natural light and I was pretty happy with how it turned out. Here are a few black and whites I really liked. I love Sam's face in this photo she looks so happy and its such a cute moment.

After we finished the "normal" engagement pictures we started to set up for what we really came out here for.... a paint war. This was so much fun to be part of, taking photos of them just throwing paint at each other and having a great time.
Seriously, ha this was so much fun. I am grateful that this couple picked me to help capture these moments for them. I can't wait for the actual wedding. Congrats guys.
